Junto a las dos determinaciones esenciales de la disposición afectiva que acabamos de explicitar —la apertura de la condición de arrojado y la apertura del estar‐en‐el‐mundo en su totalidad— es necesario considerar una tercera, que contribuye en forma especial a una comprensión más honda de la mundaneidad del mundo. Como ya dijimos antes , el mundo ya previamente abierto deja comparecer al ente intramundano. Esta previa aperturidad del mundo, propia del estar‐en, está con‐constituida por la disposición afectiva. El dejar comparecer es primariamente circunspectivo, y no un puro sentir o un quedarse mirando fijamente. El dejar comparecer de la ocupación circunspectiva tiene el carácter de un ser concernido (Betroffenwerden), como lo podemos ver ahora más claramente a partir de la disposición afectiva. Desde un punto de vista ontológico, la inservibilidad, resistencia y amenaza de lo a la mano sólo nos pueden concernir porque el estar‐en en cuanto tal se halla de tal manera determinado previamente en su estructura existencial que puede ser afectado en esta forma por lo que comparece dentro del mundo. Esta posibilidad de ser afectado se funda en la disposición afectiva y, en cuanto tal, ha abierto el mundo en su carácter, por ejemplo, de amenazante. Sólo lo que está en la disposición afectiva del temor o, correlativamente, de la intrepidez, puede descubrir el ente a la mano del mundo circundante como algo amenazante. El temple de la disposición afectiva es el constitutivo existencial de la apertura del Dasein al mundo.

À côté des deux déterminations de la nature de l’état émotionnel d’arrière-plan que l’on vient d’expliquer, à savoir qu’il ouvre-révèle l’‘être-ayant-été-lancé’ et qu’il ouvre-révèle l’‘être-au-monde’ total du moment, une troisième est à considérer, laquelle contribue avant tout à une compréhension plus pénétrante de la mondanéité du monde. Nous avons dit précédemment (früher) : c’est le monde, au préalable déjà ouvert-révélé, qui ménage la rencontre de ce qui est intramondain. Cet ‘être-ouvert-révélé’ préalable du monde, lequel participe de l’‘être-à
’, l’état émotionnel d’arrière-plan contribue tout autant à le constituer. C’est primairement le fait de la circonspection que de ménager la rencontre, cela ne résulte pas exclusivement d’une sensation ou d’une fixation du regard. Ainsi que nous pouvons désormais le voir de manière plus précise en partant de l’état émotionnel d’arrière-plan, la rencontre, telle qu’elle est ménagée, par préoccupation, avec circonspection, se caractérise par le fait que le Dasein y est concerné (Betroffenwerden). Mais le fait d’être concerné par l’inutilité de l’étant disponible, par sa capacité à opposer de la résistance (Widerständigkeit) et par son caractère menaçant, cela ne devient ontologiquement possible que si l’‘être-à
’ en tant que tel est par avance existentialement déterminé, et cela de telle sorte qu’il puisse, de cette manière, être concerné par ce qui vient à rencontre de façon intramondaine. Cette couleur au gré de laquelle le Dasein est concerné (Angänglichkeit) est fondée dans l’état émotionnel d’arrière-plan, et ce en tant qu’elle est celle selon laquelle ce dernier a ouvert-révélé le monde, par exemple comme étant menaçant. Seul ce qui, dans l’état émotionnel d’arrière-plan consistant à avoir peur, ou consistant à ne pas avoir peur, est, seul cela peut dévoiler comme étant menaçant de l’étant disponible comme l’est ce qui relève du monde ambiant. La disposition affective qu’est l’état émotionnel d’arrière-plan constitue existentialement l’apérité (Offenheit) au monde du Dasein. (al. 10)

Besides these two essential characteristics of states-of-mind which have been explained—the disclosing of thrownness and the current disclosing of Being-in-the-world as a whole—we have to notice a third, which contributes above all towards a more penetrating understanding of the worldhood of the world. As we have said earlier, the world which has already been disclosed beforehand permits what is within-the-world to be encountered. This prior disclosedness of the world belongs to Being-in and is partly constituted by one’s state-of-mind. Letting something be encountered is primarily circumspective; it is Not just sensing something, or staring at it. It implies circumspective concern, and has the character of becoming affected in some way (Betroffenwerdens); we can see this more precisely from the standpoint of state-of-mind. But to be affected by the unserviceable, resistant, or threatening character (Bedrohlichkeit) of that which is ready-to-Hand, becomes ontologically possible only in so far as Being-in as such has been determined existentially beforehand in such a manner that what it encounters within-the-world can “matter” to it in this way. The fact that this sort of thing can “matter” to it is grounded in one’s state-of-mind; and as a state-of-mind it has already disclosed the world—as something by which it can be threatened, for instance. Only something which is in the state-of-mind of fearing (or fearlessness) can discover that what is environmentally ready-to-hand is threatening. Dasein’s openness to the world is constituted existentially by the attunement of a state-of-mind.

Neben diesen beiden explizierten Wesensbestimmungen der Befindlichkeit, dem Erschließen der Geworfenheit und dem jeweiligen Erschließen des ganzen In-der-Welt-seins ist eine dritte zu beachten, die vor Allem zum eindringlicheren Verständnis der Weltlichkeit der Welt beiträgt. früher wurde gesagt: Die vordem schon erschlossene Welt läßt Innerweltliches begegnen. Diese vorgängige, zum In-Sein gehörige Erschlossenheit der Welt ist durch die Befindlichkeit mitkonstituiert. Das Begegnenlassen ist primär umsichtiges, Nicht lediglich noch ein Empfinden oder Anstarren. Das umsichtig besorgende Begegnenlassen hat – so können Wir Jetzt von der Befindlichkeit her schärfer sehen – den Charakter des Betroffenwerdens. Die Betroffenheit aber durch die Undienlichkeit, Widerständigkeit, Bedrohlichkeit des Zuhandenen wird ontologisch nur so möglich, daß das In-(/termos/s/sein-als-solches) Existenzial vorgängig so bestimmt ist, daß es in dieser Weise von innerweltlich Begegnendem angegangen Werden kann. Diese Angänglichkeit gründet in der Befindlichkeit, als welche sie die Welt zum Beispiel auf Bedrohbarkeit hin erschlossen hat. Nur Was in der Befindlichkeit des Fürchtens, bzw. der Furchtlosigkeit ist, kann umweltlich Zuhandenes als Bedrohliches Entdecken. Die Gestimmtheit der Befindlichkeit konstituiert existenzial die Weltoffenheit des Daseins.
