(...) o existir humano em seu fundamento essencial nunca é apenas um objeto simplesmente presente num lugar qualquer, e certamente não é um objeto encerrado em si. Ao contrário, este existir consiste de “meras” possibilidades de apreensão que apontam ao que lhe fala e o encontra e não podem ser apreendidas pela visão ou pelo tato. Todas as representações encapsuladas objetivantes de uma psique, um sujeito, uma pessoa, um eu, uma consciência, usadas até hoje na Psicologia e na Psicopatologia, devem desaparecer na visão daseinsanalítica em favor de uma compreensão completamente diferente. A constituição fundamental do existir humano a ser considerada daqui em diante se chamará “Da-sein” ou “ser-no-mundo". Entretanto, este Da não significa, como acontece comumente, um lugar no espaço próximo do observador. O que o existir como Da-sein significa é um manter aberto de um âmbito de poder-apreender as significações daquilo que aparece e que se lhe fala a partir de sua clareira. O Da-sein humano como âmbito de poder-apreender nunca é um objeto simplesmente presente. Ao contrário, ele não é de forma alguma e, em nenhuma circunstância, algo passível de objetivação. Más bien este existir consiste en «meras» posibilidades-de-percibir óptica y táctilmente no aprehensibles, que están orientadas hacia aquello que, interpelando, se le enfrenta. Desde el punto de vista de la analítica del (Dasein) todas las representaciones objetivantes, comunes hasta hoy día en la psicología y psicopatología, de la psique, del sujeto, de la persona, del yo, de la conciencia, como cápsula, deben ser abandonadas a favor de una comprensión completamente diferente. La constitución fundamental del existir humano que ha de ser vista de forma nueva debe llamarse Da-sein o ser-en-el-mundo. Sin embargo, el Da de este Da-sein justamente no quiere decir, como ordinariamente lo hace, una posición en el espacio cerca del observador. Más bien el existir como Da-sein significa el mantener abierto un ámbito que consiste en poder percibir las significaciones de las cosas que le son dadas y que lo interpelan a partir del despejamiento de éste. El Da-sein humano, en tanto ámbito del poder-percibir, nunca es un objeto (Gegenstand) que esté meramente ahí. Por el contrario, no es de ningún modo ni bajo ninguna circunstancia algo que pueda ser objetivado. [GA89AXY:29-30]

Instead, this way of existing consists of “pure,” invisible, intangible capacities for receiving-perceiving () what it encounters and what addresses it. In the perspective of the Analytic of Da-sein, all conventional, objectifying representations of a capsulelike psyche, subject, person, ego, or consciousness in psychology and psychopathology must be abandoned in favor of an entirely different understanding. This new view of the basic constitution of human existence may be called Da-sein, or being-in-the-world. Of course, in this p. 4 context the Da of this Da-sein certainly does not mean what it does in the ordinary sense — a location near an observer. Rather, to exist as Da-sein means to hold open a domain through its capacity to receive-perceive the significance of the things that are given to it (Da-sein) and that address it (Da-sein) by virtue of its own “clearing” (Gelichtetheit). Human Da-sein as a domain with the capacity for receiving-perceiving is never merely an object present-at-hand. Alle die in der Psychologie und Psychopathologie bisher üblichen vergegenständlichenden Kapsel-Vorstellungen einer psyche, eines Subjektes, einer Person, eines Ich, eines Bewußtseins, Haben in daseinsanalytischer Sicht zugunsten eines ganz Anderen Verständnisses zu verschwinden. Die neu zu sehende Grundverfassung menschlichen Existierens soll Da-sein oder (/termos/i/in-der-Welt-sein) genannt Werden. Dabei meint allerdings das Da dieses Da-seins gerade nicht, Wie es dies vulgärerweise tut, eine dem Betrachter naheliegende Raumstelle. Vielmehr bedeutet das Existieren als Da-Sein das Offenhalten eines Bereiches aus Vernehmen-können der Bedeutsamkeiten der Gegebenheiten, die sich ihm aus seiner Gelichtetheit her zusprechen. Menschliches Da-sein ist als ein Bereich von Vemehmen-können nie ein bloß vorhandener Gegenstand. Es ist im Gegenteil überhaupt nicht und unter keinen Umständen etwas zu Vergegenständlichendes.
