Há muito o homem se encontra desafinado. Sem aquilo que insere a cada vez a sua essência na constância da salvaguarda de um aberto, no qual o seer acontece apropriativamente. A desafinação foi substituída até aqui pela estimulação para sentimentos e vivências que só humanizam o homem na casualidade daquilo que ele está agora mesmo empreendendo e que ele alcança por meio do cálculo. A tonalidade afetiva, contudo, lança a partir de si o espaço-tempo de decisões essenciais, na medida em que lança o próprio afinado nesse tempo-espaço e o entrega ao “aí”. Ser aí, por sua vez, não significa nada menos do que suportar no dizer, pensar e fazer essenciais (isto é, pertencente ao aí e à sua essenciação) o cuidado com a verdade do seer, preservando a tonalidade afetiva do seer na determinação do ser-aí como o sítio do vir-ao-encontro dos deuses e do homem.

Há muito o homem se encontra desafinado. Sem sua noite e seu dia, os deuses fogem da ausência da essência de sua divindade. O homem, porém, continua sempre contando com suas opiniões e realizações e cobre a miséria dessas opiniões e realizações com as imagens das confusas contrações de suas “vivências”. E, não obstante, já acontece um aceno; e, não obstante, o a-ssombro se transforma na maquinação do ente; e, não obstante, já se iniciou uma outra história que o homem até aqui talvez não venha a experimentar durante muito, muito tempo, porque tudo depende para ele do que estava vigente até aqui, uma vigência que ele só deixou para trás aparentemente por meio dos muitos revolvimentos e alterações de sua funcionalidade.

Since long ago Man is without attunement, that is, without that which at times enjoins his ownmost to the relentlessness of preserving an openness wherein be-ing enowns itself. Thus far lack of attunement is replaced by enticement of emotions and lived-experiences which merely ‘dehumanize’ man into the fortuitousness of what he happens to pursue and obtain through calculation. But attunement throws from out of itself the ‘time-space’ of fundamental decisions and throws the attuned one into this ‘time-space’ and surrenders the attuned one unto the “t/here”, which to be amounts to nothing less than bearing up the care for the truth of be-ing in fundamental saying, in fundamental thinking and in fundamental acting (fundamental in the sense of belonging to the “t/here” and its swaying) and protecting the attunement of be-ing in the attunedness of Dasein as the site for the countering of gods and man.

Since long ago man is without attunement. Without their night and without their day, gods flee from the swaylessness of their godhood. But man still relies on his opinions and achievements and on their desolateness he pastes the images of his confused flickering “lived-experiences”. And nevertheless already a hinting comes to pass; nevertheless the dismay that sets-free strikes into the machination of beings, and nevertheless another history has already begun, which perhaps the man hitherto will in the long run never experience because he puts his trust into his hithertoness, which, given the growing upheavals and alterations of his undertakings, he has only seemingly left behind.

Stimmungslos ist seit langem der Mensch. Ohne jenes, Was Sein Wesen jeweils fügt in die Beständigkeit der Wahrung eines Offenen, worin das Seyn sich ereignet. Stimmungslosigkeit ist bisher ersetzt durch die Anreizung zu Gefühlen und Erlebnissen, die nur den Menschen in die Zufälligkeit dessen vermenschen, was er gerade betreibt und rechnend erreicht. Stimmung aber wirft aus sich heraus den Zeitraum wesentlicher Entscheidungen, indem sie den Gestimmten Selbst in diesen Zeit-Raum wirft und ihn in das »Da« preisgibt, das zu sein Nichts Geringeres bedeutet als in wesentlichem (d. h. dem Da und seiner Wesung gehörigem) sagen, denken und Tun die Sorge um die Wahrheit des Seyns auszustehen und die Stimmung des Sejms in der Bestimmtheit des Daseins zu behüten als die Stätte der Entgegnung der Götter und des Menschen.

Stimmungslos ist seit langem der Mensch. Ohne ihre Nacht und ihren Tag fliehen die Götter aus der Wesenlosigkeit ihrer Gottschaft. Der Mensch aber rechnet immer noch mit seinen Meinungen und Leistungen und überklebt deren Öde mit den Bildern der wirren Zuckungen seiner »Erlebnisse«. Und dennoch geschieht schon ein Winken, dennoch schlägt das Ent-setzen in die Machenschaft des Seienden, dennoch hat schon eine Andere Geschichte angefangen, die der bisherige Mensch vielleicht auf lange hinaus noch nie erfahren wird, weil ihm an seiner Bisherigkeit alles gelegen ist, die er nur scheinbar durch die sich mehrenden Umwälzungen und Abänderungen seiner Betriebsamkeit hinter sich gebracht hat.
