Se falarmos sobre a ligação do homem com o seer e, inversamente, do seer com o homem, então isso soa facilmente como se o seer se essenciasse para o homem como um em-face-de e como um objeto.

Mas o homem é apropriado em meio ao acontecimento como ser-aí pelo seer como o acontecimento apropriador e, assim, ele pertence ao próprio acontecimento apropriador.

O seer não “está” nem em volta do homem, nem oscila apenas também através dele como um ente. Ao contrário, o ser se apropria em meio ao acontecimento do ser-aí e se essencia assim pela primeira vez como acontecimento apropriador.

O acontecimento apropriador, no entanto, não tem como ser de maneira alguma re-presentado como uma “ocorrência dada” e como uma “novidade”. Sua verdade, isto é, a própria verdade, só se essencia no abrigo enquanto arte, pensamento, poetação, ato, exigindo, por isso, a insistência do ser-aí, que rejeita toda aparência de imediatidade do mero re-presentar.

O seer se essencia como acontecimento apropriador. Esse é o fundamento e o abismo da disposição do deus sobre o homem e, em meio a uma viragem, do homem para o deus. Essa disposição, porém, só é suportada no ser-aí.

(Se o seer nunca pode ser determinado como o “que há de mais geral” e “mais vazio” e “mais abstrato”, porque ele permanece inacessível a todo re-presentar, então também não é possível, e, com efeito, pela mesma razão, expô-lo como o “que há de mais concreto” e, ainda menos, concebê-lo como o acoplamento dessas duas interpretações em si insuficientes).

A disposição em meio à viragem é afinada em consonância com o ser-aí na tonalidade afetiva da retenção, e o elemento afinador é o acontecimento apropriador. Se, contudo, nós interpretarmos a tonalidade afetiva segundo a nossa representação de “sentimento”, então poder-se-ia dizer aqui facilmente: ao invés de estar referido ao “pensar”, o seer está referido agora ao “sentir”. Mas o quão sentimental e extrinsecamente não pensamos aí sobre os “sentimentos” como “faculdades” e “fenômenos” de uma “alma”; o quão distantes nos encontramos da essência da tonalidade afetiva, quer dizer, do ser-aí. Si decimos acerca de la referencia del hombre al ser (Seyn) y viceversa del ser (Seyn) al hombre, entonces ello suena fácilmente como si el ser (Seyn) se esenciara para el hombre como un enfrente y objeto (Ge-genstad).

Pero el hombre es acaecido-apropiadoramente como ser-ahí por el ser (Seyn) como evento y deviene así perteneciente al evento mismo.

El ser (Seyn) no “es” en tomo del hombre, ni oscila sólo también a través suyo como un siendo. Antes bien el ser acaece al ser ahí y tan sólo de este modo se esencia como evento.

Pero entonces el evento no puede por completo ser re-presentado como un “acontecimiento” y “novedad”. Su verdad, es decir, la verdad misma, se esencia sólo en el abrigo como arte, pensar, poetizar, hecho y exige por ello la instancia del ser-ahí, que rechaza toda aparente inmediatez del mero re-presentar.

El ser (Seyn) se esencia como el evento. Este es el fundamento y abismo del disponer del dios del hombre y viceversa del hombre para con el dios. Pero este disponer es sólo soportado en el ser-ahí.

(Si el ser (Seyn) nunca puede ser determinado como lo “más general” y “vacío” y “abstracto”, porque permanece inaccesible para todo re-presentar, entonces tampoco se deja pasar, y por cierto por la misma razón, por lo “más concreto”, y aun menos captar como el acoplamiento de estas dos interpretaciones, en sí insuficientes.)

El recíproco disponer es templado según el ser-ahí en la disposición* fundamental de la retención y lo que dispone es el evento. Pero si interpretamos la disposición según nuestra representación del “sentimiento”, entonces se podría decir aquí fácilmente: el ser se referiría ahora en lugar de al “pensar”, al “sentimiento”. Pero cuán sensible y externamente pensamos aquí sobre los “sentimientos” como “facultades” y “fenómenos” de un “alma”; cuán lejos estamos de la esencia de la disposición, quiere decir: del ser-ahí. Parler de la relation de l’homme à l’estre, et inversement de la relation de l’estre à l’homme, cela donne l’impression que l’estre serait pour l’homme comme un vis-à-vis, comme un objet.

Mais l’être humain, en tant qu’être le là, est amené à soi par l’estre en tant qu’avenance ; de la sorte, il fait partie, il est partie prenante de l’avenance même.

L’estre « est » non pas autour de l’homme, pas plus qu’il ne vient le traverser de la pulsation de son rythme comme si c’était un étant. L’être amène à soi être le là, et c’est ainsi seulement qu’il déploie sa pleine essence en tant qu’avenance.

Pour tout dire, l’avenance ne peut nullement être représentée (présentée là-devant) comme quelque «événement», ou «nouveauté». Sa vérité, c’est-à-dire la vérité elle-même, ne déploie sa pleine essence que dans la mise à l’abri — comme art, pensée, poésie, acte de fondation ; et elle exige donc l’ins-tantialité d'être le là, lequel rejette toute la pseudo-immédiateté de la pure et simple représentation.

L’estre déploie sa pleine essence comme avenance. Tels sont le fond et le hors-fond de la manière dont le Dieu dispose de l’homme, et — en volte-face — dont l’homme est à la disposition du Dieu. Cette dis-position, à bien y regarder, n’est endurée qu’en être le là.

(Si l’estre ne peut jamais être déterminé comme ce qu’il y a de plus « général », « vide » et « abstrait », parce qu’il est inaccessible à toute représentation, il ne peut pas plus — et pour la même raison — être réputé comme ce qu’il y a de plus « concret » ; encore moins être saisi comme l’amalgame de ces deux interprétations inviables.)

Du côté où il s’agit d’être le là, cette disposition (être disposé face à la disposition qui vous fait volter face) s’entonne dans la tonalité fondamentale de la retenue ; et ce qui, là, donne le ton, c’est l’avenance. Or si nous interprétons la tonalité en suivant la représentation que nous nous faisons du «sentiment», nous sommes vite tentés de dire : au lieu de le référer à la « pensée », à présent nous référons l’être au «sentiment». Notre pensée n’est-elle pas bien trop sentimentale et superficielle quand nous songeons ici aux « sentiments » comme à des « facultés » et à des «phénomènes psychiques»? Nous sommes là bien loin de la pleine essence de la tonalité, c’est-à-dire d’être le là. [GA65FR:293-294]

When we speak of Man's relation to be-ing and vice versa of be-ing's relation to man, then this easily sounds as if be-ing holds sway for man like an over-against and an object.

But man as Da-sein is en-owned by be-ing as enowning and thus belongs to enowning itself.

Be-ing "is" neither roundabout man nor does it swing through him as a being. Rather, being enowns Dasein and only in this way holds sway as enowning.

Finally, however, enowning cannot be re-presented as an "event" and a "novelty." Its truth, i.e., the truth itself, holds sway only as sheltered in art, thinking,  biding of Da-Sein, which rejects all illusion of immediacy of mere re-presenting.

Be-ing holds sway as enowning. This is the ground and abground for god's disposing on man and, in turn, for man's disposing unto god. But this disposal is bom up only in Da-sein.

(If be-ing can never be determined as the "most general" and "emptiest" and "most abstract," because it remains inaccessible to all re-presenting, then for the same reason it does Not let itself be considered as the "most concrete," and even less as the coupling of both of these inherently insufficient interpretations.)

With Dasein as measure, the turning disposal (die kehrige Verfügung) is attuned by the grounding-attunement of reservedness; and what attunes is enowning. But if we interpret attuning according to our representation of "feeling," then one might easily say here: Being is now related to "feeling" rather than to "thinking." But how sentimentally and superficially we are thinking here about "feelings" as "capacities" and "appearances" of a "soul"; how far removed we are from what is ownmost to attuning, let us say: from Da-sein. To speak of the relation of the human being to beyng and, conversely, of the relation of beyng to the human being makes it seem as if beyng essentially occurred, with regard to the human being, as something over and against, as an object.

But the human being as Da-sein is appropriated by beyng as the event and thus belongs to the event itself.

Beyng “is” neither round about humans nor does it merely vibrate right through them as through beings. Instead, being appropriates Dasein and only thus essentially occurs as event.

By no means, however, may the event be represented as an “incident” or a “novelty.” Its truth, i.e., the truth itself, essentially occurs only if sheltered in art, thinking, poetry, deed. It therefore requires the steadfastness of the Da-sein that repudiates all the semblant immediacy of mere representation.

Beyng essentially occurs as the event. That is the ground and abyss of the god’s availing of the human being or, conversely, of the availability of the human being for god. But this availability is withstood only in Da-sein.

(If beyng can never be determined as the “most general,” the “emptiest,” and the “most abstract,” since it is inaccessible to any representation, then it also, and indeed for the same reason, cannot be grasped as the “most concrete” and even less as the combination of these two interpretations, each of which is insufficient in itself.)

The reciprocal availability is disposed in Dasein in the basic disposition of restraint, and what is disposing is the event. Yet if we interpret disposition in terms of our notion of “feeling,” then it will readily be said that being is now placed in relation to “feeling” instead of “thinking.” But how impulsive and superficial is our understanding of “feelings” as “faculties” and “phenomena” of a “soul.” How far are we standing from the essence of disposition, i.e., how far from Da-sein. Aber der Mensch wird als Da-sein vom Seyn als dem Ereignis er-eignet und so zugehörig zum Ereignis Selbst.

Das Seyn »ist« weder um den Menschen herum, noch schwingt es nur auch durch ihn hindurch als einen seienden. Vielmehr ereignet das Sein das Dasein und west so erst als Ereignis.

Vollends kann nun aber das Ereignis Nicht wie eine »Begebenheit« und »Neuigkeit« i;or-gestellt Werden. Seine Wahrheit, d. h. die Wahrheit selbst, west nur in der Bergung als Kunst, denken, Dichten, Tat und fordert deshalb die Inständigkeit des Da-seins, das alle Scheinunmittelbarkeit des bloßen vor-stellens verwirft.

Das Seyn west als das Ereignis. Dies ist der Grund und Abgrund der Verfügung des Gottes über den Menschen und keh-rig des Menschen für den Gott. Diese Verfügung aber wird nur ausgestanden im Da-sein.

(Wenn das Seyn nie als das »Generellste« und »Leerste« und »Abstrakteste« bestimmt werden kann, weil es Allem vor-stellen unzugänglich bleibt, dann läßt es sich auch nicht, und zwar aus demselben Grunde, als das »Konkreteste« ausgeben und noch weniger als die Verkoppelung dieser beiden, in sich unzureichenden Auslegungen fassen.)

Die kehrige Verfügung wird daseinsmäßig angestimmt in der Grundstimmung der Verhaltenheit, und das Stimmende ist das Ereignis. Deuten wir aber die Stimmung nach unserer Vorstellung vom »Gefühl«, dann möchte man Hier leicht sagen: das Sein werde statt auf das »Denken« Jetzt auf das »Gefühl« bezogen. Aber wie gefühlsmäßig und äußerlich denken wir da über die »Gefühle« als »Vermögen« und »Erscheinungen« einer »Seele«; wie fern stehen wir dem Wesen der Stimmung, will sagen: dem Da-sein. [GA65:256]
