El ocuparse propio  — el Dasein en cuanto co-estar-siendo —  ha puesto, de esa manera, a los demás a su cuidado; mejor formulado: el Dasein en cuanto co-estar-siendo es vivido por el Mitdasein de los demás y el mundo con que se ocupa de tal y cual manera. Justamente en el quehacer cotidiano más propio el Dasein, en cuanto co-estar-siendo con los demás, no es él mismo, sino que son los demás los que viven el propio Dasein. Esos otros no tienen por qué ser ningún otro concreto. Cualquier otro puede representar a esos otros. Es absolutamente indiferente el quién ocasional; lo que importa son sólo los otros de que forma parte el Dasein propio. Este peculiar «los demás», «los otros» de que uno mismo es parte y que uno mismo es en el estar-con-otros, es, como si dijéramos, el «sujeto»  — lo que en todo momento está aquí, existe —  que se hace cargo de todo el ocuparse cotidiano. One’s own concern — Dasein as being-with — has placed the others in its care in this way (in its concern over being apart). To put it more adequately, Dasein as being-with is lived by the co-Dasein of others and the world which concerns it in this or that way. Right in its own-most everyday pursuits, Dasein as being with the others is Not itself. Instead, it is the others who live one’s own Dasein. These others moreover do not have to be definite others. Any other can represent them. It really does not matter who it is at the time. What matters is only the others to whom one’s own Dasein itself belongs. These others, to whom one oneself belongs and who one is in being-with-one-another, constitute the ‘subject,’ so to speak, which in its constant presence pursues and manages every everyday concern.

Das eigene Besorgen — das Dasein als Mitsein — hat die Anderen in dieser Art in seine Sorge gestellt, angemessener formuliert: das Dasein als Mitsein wird von dem Mitdasein der Anderen und der von ihm so und so besorgten Welt gelebt. Gerade im eigensten alltäglichen Betreiben ist das Dasein als Mitsein mit den Anderen Nicht es Selbst, sondern die Anderen sind es, die das eigene Dasein Leben. Diese Anderen (338) brauchen dabei nicht bestimmte Andere zu Sein. Jeder Andere kann diesen Anderen vertreten. Der jeweilige Wer als dieser ist gerade gleichgültig, wichtig sind nur die Anderen, zu denen das eigene Dasein selbst gehört. Diese Anderen, zu denen Man selbst gehört, und die man im Miteinandersein ist, ist gleichsam das »Subjekt«, das, Was ständig da ist, das jedes alltägliche Besorgen betreibt. (p. 337-338)
